Autumn Days Video Tutorial

o boy! been struggling w/ this here video! tried to upload this to blogger for 48 hrs and then i got an ERROR!!! ;) gotta love that(hence the reason for no post for 2 days)! So i did it on YouTube and i hope it helps! I would love to hear your comments on what you think and if the video was helpful to you!

paper: dusty durango, basic black, whisper white
ink: blush blossom, tangerine tango, bordering blue, basic black, choc chip marker(for spritzing the color on the 2 corners of the card)
stamps: Autumn Days, On your birthday
tools: matte pack(to pierce the row of holes on the second layer of dusty durango)
accessories: Black Gingham Ribbon
tip: I tore the edge of the dusty durango layer and just distressed it w/ my finger to 'rough' it up a bit... my attempt at making it "manly"!

Inspired By Nature

It's been a great day and what better thing to do that create something special for some one special? I actually got up early this morning to do a bit of stamping and I wanted to make a cool card for that special someone! ;) Playing with these bright colors is a great way to wake up! Now i need to go clean out the girls pool outside on the deck... it's full of bugs and too cold to swim for now!

paper: melon mambo, crushed curry, whisper white
ink: stampin write markers in... choc chip, pink passion and summer sun(i don't have the in color markers yet and i think these worked out quite swell!)
stamps: inspired by nature, on your birthday
tools: big shot, texture plates, boho blossoms punch,
stamp a ma jig(for a nice, crisp and straight 'happy birthday')
accessories: white organza ribbon (unfortunately it's retired but same size as the 5/8" satin in the current caty), pearls from pretties kit, stampin dimensionals (to pop up the two colored daisies w/ the sentiment on it)

Have a fabulous day!!! melissa

Hello again...

This was one of the cards we made at the summer stamp camp. A very simple stamp set makes a super cute card and the coordinating wheel dressed up the flap on the envelope very nicely! In the center of the rich razzleberry flower we used a 2 way glue pen and some cosmo glitter to make it pop! Then i like to do a little something on the front of the envelope as well as you can see below~
paper: regal rose, old olive, whisper white
ink: rich razzlebery, regal rose, old olive
stamps: hello again, retro remix standard wheel
tools:scallop edge punch, paper snips(to cut out flower so we could pop it up on dimensionals) stamp a ma jig( to get the stamps placed exactly where we wanted it... mainly the word hello)
accessories: 2 way glue pen, purple cosmo glitter

happy stamping! melis

Upsy Daisy

How bout this for a line...."i can't make cards bc i have no adheasive!" Well that has been me since my Summer Camp LAST WEEK Wed!!! I've been really chompin at the bit wanting to make SOMETHING... ANYTHING... (mind you Walmart is just down the road, been there twice and STILL forget to buy some cheapo adhesive to get me by ....and my SU! order won't be here till Fri!) So last night i couldn't take it anymore and got out the Elmer's glue and stampin dimensionals! This is what i came up with!

paper: whisper white, crushed curry, razzleberry lemonade dsp
ink: crushed curry, dusty durango
stamps: Upsy daisy, hello again
tools: sponge(for distressing the edges in dusty durango), 1/2'' circle punch for the 3 dusty durango circles, crop a dile(to punch holes for my brads), corner rounder punch, horizontal slot punch(for my ribbon to slide neatly through!)
accessories: crushed curry polka dot ribbon tip:(FLIP ribbon over and you no longer have polka dots if that makes your project to busy...which in this case i thought it did), stampin dimensionals

ps. after my Friday order comes in, i will have adhesive in stock again.... if you ever run out of your SNAIL... just give me a jingle and i can hook you up w/ a refill or a whole new SNAIL as well!

~cheers ~ n hope you can stamp n assemble more efficiently than i did!

Home sweet home .....

8X8 scrap page
my apron card... above the ribbon is a pocket to put your slider in w/ writing...

well i am home again and can't wait to get into my bed tonight but wanted to quick get a post in tonight! These pix were SUPER exciting for me! This past June, i entered for my FIRST time a contest at Stampin Up!. I had to make 3 scrap pages, 3 cards, and 2, 3-d items! As usual i waited to the absolute last day to finish and HAD to be in the mail THAT day in order to get there on time and therefore while i was frantically finishing... what do i do???? I FORGET to take a picture of what i sent!!! Oh my word i about fainted that evening when i realized what i did!

Sooooo.... long story short(i didn't win) but, at convention i found TWO of the items i sent in on display!!! i almost cried... what a baby huh?

have a great week! melis
