awash w/ flowers

my folks celebrated 32 yrs of marriage on  July 13 and this is the card i stamped up for them. it was so quick, easy, but packs a lot of punch...u agree? First off, those vintage brads(which i tend to hoard bc they are oh' so pretty) just make the card. If you don't have a flower stamp set that you LOVE, IMO everyone should have this set. it's two step stamping, but "water color" two step stamping. Waz the dif u may say? Well, when it's 'water color' there is no need to be precise. a little sloppy aka off center, is what gives you the look! Like you can see above. i have the clear mount, so you first stamp the outline in a dark color and fill in w/ a lighter shade. i also stamped off once to lighten even a bit more!

the beloved dsp, two tiny little strips give the added pop of color!

supplies:
paper: old olive, whisper white, choc chip dsp, paisley petals dsp(new in caty now)
ink: choc chip, marina mist, old olive, choc chip marker
stamps: teeny tiny wishes, awash w/ flowers
tools: color spritzer tool, 1/8' hole punch(for linen thread), matte pack(to pierce hole for my brad)
accessories: linen thread, antique brads

Pennant Parade

ooo my new stamp set i just got! This is the first new set i got out of the big new caty! yeah. love it. and of course the coordinating punch to make things simple. i forgot to take a picture b4 i put it in the cellophane envelope, so there is a bit of a glare, but i think u can get the gist!
the concord crush dsp is from the in color hostess pack in the last catalog!
i added a bright green glitter brad for my bling
and also, for a smidge more sparkle, if you look closely you can see dazzling diamonds on the lucky limeade pennant. i just used my 2 way glue pen, then sprinkled on the daz diamonds. in each corner i used the 1/8" hole punch and then strung some linen thread to make my banner.

paper: calypso coral, lucky limeade, concord crush dsp, whisper white
ink: lucky limeade, calypso coral, concord crush
stamps: pennant parade, teeny tiny wishes
tools: pennant punch, word window punch, modern label punch, 1/8" hole punch, dotted scallop border punch

Wedding shower thankyous....

Jesse's cousin Travis recently got engaged and they hosted a bridal shower for the couple to be over the July 4 weekend. i wanted to stamp a little something up for her in her wedding colors. all i new was purple and red for this coming fall. This is what i came up with!

tip: see those leaves? just like the old days of making pretty snowflakes! i folder the paper in half, cut out a half circle and ran it through the crimper to give the leaf some veins!
I like adding a little something to the envelope so i added a heart and (love) stamp from the set tiny tags
can you see the tiny pearl added in the center of the little flower of the sentiment? These words come from the new hostess set in the summer mini right now!
Check out all that shine! one squirt of the champagne mist gave me some quick sparkle~
and box it all together in a clear box, and tie some pretty riding hood red ribbon around it!

supplies:
paper: elegant eggplant, riding hood red, crumb cake, old olive
ink: elegant eggplant, (marker for spritzing)
stamps: swirls & curls verses
tools: color spritzer tool, crop a dile, big shot, flower daisies #2 die, crimper(for leaves)
accessories: jumbo eyelet, riding hood red striped ribbon,
