wedding sweet

Another wedding in a few weeks and made this bundle of thank you's with clean lines and the retired color kiwi kiss. I really like how the textured paper looks super rich when you run it through the big shot and impression folder...vintage wallpaper in this case! I used just 3 snips of the sticky strip to adhere that black grosgrain ribbon nice and tight along the seam.

don't forget to stamp those envelopes so they match!

supplies:
paper: whisper white, kiwi kiss textured
ink: kiwi kiss
stamps: wedding sweet, thank you kindly
tools: big shot, vintage wallpaper impression folder
accessories: black grosgrain ribbon

wedding sweet & medallion

snipped the ribbon as a 'flag'....
This is the rest of the stack of thank yous for the wedding gift...guess it tom night not tonight! ;) I love the vintage feel of this card. I used the big shot to cut out the top note die. then stamped the medallion on it, sprayed with alcohol and crumpeled it up! let sit for a bit and then uncrumpled. used only one ink on this card! i love it when you can pull that off!
supplies:
paper: concord crush, very vanilla
ink: concord crush pad and stampin write marker
stamps: medallion, wedding sweet
tools: curly label punch, wide oval punch, boho blossoms punch, big shot, top note die, color spritzer tool
accessories: very vanilla satin ribbon, pearl from pretties kit, stampin dimensionals

here i folded the ribbon behind my punch outs... and held everything together with the mini glue dots! work like a charm!

Wedding sweet

a co-worker of Jesse is getting married tom night and i wanted to make them a stack of thank yous to give with their gift in the wedding colors! This is the NEW in color concord crush! isn't it gorgeous? Their wedding invite was kinda close to this purple w/ a metallic sheen to it and gray as the accent. So i took the sponge dauber and champagne mist to give the vintage wallpaper some sheen! Can you see it? right in the center of the design. Super simple to spice up this simple invite. Any ?'s please let me know!
supplies:
paper:concord crush, whisper white
ink: concord crush, basic gray
stamps: wedding sweet, because i care
tools: Big shot, vintage wallpaper impression die, corner rounder punch, crop a dile
accessories:silver brads,

Medallion & Awash with flowers

Using the medallion as a soft background give a nice touch here. A little ripping of the paper and then curling the edges gives a worn look. I used the color spritzer tool to add a smidge of spray on the so saffron piece. Here i used another fleurette (this one is retired) on top of my 2 step stem from Awash with flowers. Tied a bit of so saffron ribbon (retired from dress up) around my flower and i think it all pulled together nicely!
tip: to make the white flower stand out a bit on the white paper i took my sponge daubers and shaded a bit of the always artichoke chalk behind the flower. Can you see it? It was hard to get a good shot of it, but in my hands... it really helps it stand out a bit!

supplies:
paper: so saffron, always artichoke, cherry cobler, whisper white
ink: always artichoke, pad & marker
stamps: 2 step awash with flowers, medallion
tools: color spritzer tool, sponge dauber, stampin pastels
accessories: rhinestone brad, fleurettes, retired so saffron ribbon(dress up group), stampin dimensionals

Wedding Sweet & Occasional Quotes

so i've had this 'scrap' flower sitting on my table for like ever... thinking oh i will put it on a card some day! that day has come...i found a use for it! I actually cut that flower out of tin sheeting(for your roof) w/ the big shot! Then attached a white fleuretteII (handmade, crocheted flowers p. 188 in new caty) with a mini glue dot to that. Pulled a pin from my retired pretties kit and stuck that through the flower.
The ribbon is also retired from the grouping called Dress Up. kinda a vintagy feel w/ the worn white lacy effect.

Below you can see my 'stamped off' flourish behind my sentiment. i inked it in crumb cake and then stamped it once on scrap b4 placing it here. Then inked my words in Cherry Cobler and put it right over top. I like the softness w/o it looking too bare. Then pop it up on dimensionals.

supplies:
paper: crumb cake, cherry cobler, whisper white
ink: crumb cake, cherry cobler
stamps: Occasional Quotes, Wedding Sweet
tools: big shot, flower folds die, wide oval punch, top note die, vintage wallpaper impression folder
accessories: fleurettes II, pretties kit pin and pearls, white ribbon from 'dress up' grouping, rhinestone brad, stampin dimensionals

punched posies

when you want to make a card, ever scratch your head and say, "what in the world should i use for colors?" i have numerous times! Well SU! just reconfigured their color coach and i just got mine! It's fabulous! tons of ideas for putting all kinds of color combos together! here is the sample card that i made using the color coach for my first time!

Using textured cardstock takes your card a long ways w/o having to add a whole lot extra! I used baja breeze here, my matte pack to pierce a boarder all the way around the edges. then using two punches, the modern label and the butterfly to assist me w/o any cutting i'm basically done w/ my card!

supplies:
paper: whisper white, baja breeze textured, old olive
ink: old olive, cajun craze
stamps:three little words, punched posies
tools: butterfly punch, modern label punch, stamp a ma jig, matte pack
accessories: green button, silver brads, stampin dimensionals

Water Color Trio

Happy Holiday to you all! Well it's the day after the 4th i guess, but most have today off to celebrate! I've worked all day...very exciting huh? Cleaning my house, girls are now napping, so i'm sitting for 15 and then gonna mop the floors. NOT looking foward to it! ;) Just had an awesome down pour here, ran outside and pulled all my flower pots from under the eves... all the less watering i have to do!
ok, today's card, fun color combo eh? I've never used the curly label punch b4 for my sentiment but i like the touch today, what do you think? Ridinghood red is gonna quickly become a favorite of mine i know it! here i colored my flower w/ the stampin write markers, gave it a good 'huff' and then stamped r down. some torn edges and the spiral punch give it a good 'worn' feeling!

supplies:
paper: choc chip, certainly celery, ridinghood red, whisper white, daffodil delight
ink: certainly celery, ridinghood red, daffodil delight
stamps: water color trio, really retro(both retired)
tools: curly label punch, spiral punch
accessories: yellow button, stampin dimensionals, ridinghood red ribbon(retired)

tip: have no thread??? no fear cut a tiny sliver of a color of the paper on your card and 'thread' through your button! A mini glue dot holds it in place beautifully!

a flower for all seasons

a blank card w/ a cute lady bug on it! so on top of this card you can see the equivilant of SU!'s twill tape. this is what you call a smidge of not being able to throw anything away! I bought this skirt that had this sewn on it as a belt but highly disliked it! So i cut it off and thought... hmmm i could use this on a card now couldn't i? and yes i like how it gave this a finishing touch! the yellow stiching even matches nicely w/ the new color daffodil delight! ha! soo, ever have something that you think you could use on a card or in paper crafting??? Better not through it away!
the flower and pot was stamped in STAZON ink so i could use my aqua painters w/o having any bleeding! after that ink dries, it doesn't matter how wet your painter is... it won't smudge! Lovely! These are my fav since i think it makes you look like an artist no matter how sloppy you are. white spots of 'missed' color is the look you go for...if outside of the lines... all the better.
supplies:
paper: crumb cake, very vanilla, daffodil delight, riding hood red textured
ink: stazon brown, riding hood red, crumb cake, old olive, daffodil delight, early espresso
stamps: a flower for all seasons
tools: aqua painter, stapler, glue
accessories: mini library clips, linen thread, (my old belt),
