always elegant

this too we made @ my last camp. I wanted to show case how you can make a sharp card using only one ink and keeping it quite simple! In a sense we made our own dsp w/ the stamped background. one piece of concord crush paper as a matte and some ribbon to match. Using the jewelry tag punches we stamped our sentiments and then punched them out!

supplies:
paper: very vanilla, concord crush
ink: concord crush
stamps: tiny tags, always elegant
tools: jewelry tag punch, 1/8" hole punch, sponge
accessories: concord crush ribbon, linen thread, rhinestone

Bliss Baby Boy

A simple and elegant baby boy card! i used versamark to stamp the flourish so it just looks 'wet'. The little words are from Silhouette Sentiments. (hostess level 1)  I think the rest is self explanatory!
scratched the edges of my half circle w/ my finger nail
stamping the little bird on the envelopes to match, tops the cake
and of course finish it all off w/ a cute clear box and  a tag from two tags die and the big shot!

supplies:
paper: bashful blue, wild wasabi, real red dsp, early espresso
ink: versamark, early espresso
stamps: Bliss, Silhouette sentiments
tools: big shot, square lattice impression folder, 2 tags die
accessories: early espresso ribbon,

Put them to use in this simple way! If you don't have the stamp set, just use this sketch to get you rolling!...or get this stamp set when the mini catalog goes live, bc it's just way too cute! ;)
I used the color spritzer tool for a few squeezes of the chocolate marker.

stamps: best dad ever(upcoming summer mini)

That is what i love the most about paper crafting/ or just crafting in general. it's a great thing to do w/ friends who also enjoy it! If i ever am in a slump, this can always lift my spirits and if i can create something i'm proud of w/ someone i care about...that tops the cake!

note: see how clean and crisp i kept this card huh? that's a challenge for me, i want to scratch the edges w/ my finger nails, use my color spritzer tool and give a few sprays to 'rough' it up. But...i also know that cards can be sharp left just simply put together right?!

for my purse....

if you are a card maker, or just like to give a card of encouragement every once in a while you are just like me. there are many times when i think, "oo, i have to jot a note to them." but then by the time i get home, i forget. you know how it goes. Well, Shelly the CEO of SU! had a fab idea on her blog quite some time ago and i always wanted to give it a whirl! guess what, i got to it yesterday and it all came togehter quite nicely! i was super pumped! This is a  fabric booklet (made w/ the Candy Cane Christmas fabric) that i can slide a few hand stamped cards and envelopes into it and keep it in my purse. That way hopefully i can write the note while i think of it or at least put the persons name in it so i don't forget!

This is another creation from Jess's stamp camp. super simple to make and isn't it the cutest ever? We started w/ just our plain sheet of early espresso, punched out random circles in other fun colors, adhered them and ran it through the big shot w/ the square lattice impression folder! Popped the center circle on some stampin dimensionals and added a few pearl blings, ribbon and it's done! beautiful

Have a seat

DSP paper brings a card together so nicely w/ a polished look to it. on the bashful blue part i stamped a background w/ the big stamp from the SAB bliss set in versamark. It's a faint but distinguished look of a watermark. The bench is embossed w/ white powder and i used the large decor punch for the pear pizzaz piece. I sprayed it w/ alcohol so it would crumple nicely and then dry out quickly.

i just used a plain old paper clip and tide a little bit of the ribbon on the end of it befor sliding it on the edge of the card.

supplies:
paper: bashful blue, urban oasis dsp, pear pizzaz, whisper white
ink: pear pizzaz, versamark
stamps: take a seat, sincere salutation, bliss
tools: xtra lrg decor punch, curly labl punch, heat gun, matte pack, piercing tool
accessories: white embossing powder, pear pizzaz ribbon, paper clip

Party this way...

designed by: Jess

What a bright and colorful card huh? all those pretty scallops where made w/ the large die of all different borders, out of the Christmas mini(still available to purchase) we sponged all the edges of the scallops w/ the coordinating color to give some dimension.
using makers we could color each letter a different color!

Manahattan flower impression folder

Here we used a brayer to roll on some not quite navy ink right on the impression folder then, ran it through the big shot. This pressed the ink down in the creases. very elegant looking

it's been so long since i had done anything with vellum, and here we had a piece that we ran through the impression folder. after doing so, i carefully cut along the edge of the flowers and then gently used a sponge dauber to add a bit of pink color! Fairly simple and very pretty when finished!

If you don't have this set...i think its a MUST! Has about every saying you would ever need to stamp a card!

Tart n Tangy

Bright and fun card to share today! this made me feel all summery! Notice the two tone colors on the fruit? Very simple to do. for the apple, first i inked it w/ so saffron and then gently rolled the edges on the old olive pad. for the orange too, i first did so saffron and then rolled it once on the peach parfait ink pad.(RULE of thumb, always start w/ your lightest ink color and then roll on the darker..this will not hurt your ink pads) then for the strawberry i used the stampin write markers to color it. tip:  after i inked my strawberry, it didn't have a nice smooth stamp or picture on my white. it was kinda like there was a film on the rubber. you can quickly remedy that by taking your sanding block and gently sanding the actual rubber!  Now my strawberry looks edible again! ;)
supplies:
paper: riding hood red, old olive, so saffron, whisper white
ink: old olive, so saffron, riding hood red, peach parfait
stamps: tart n tangy, thank you kindly
tools: circle punch, big shot, polka dot impression folder,
accessories: peach parfait ribbon, stampin dimensionals, mini glue dot(to hold on the ribbon)
