summer celebration
So i've been working hard on scrapbooking this week! I think i've got about 12 layouts done in 2 afternoon's of nap time(all 12X12's)! woo hoo! This is fantastic. As i learn a little bit more every day that i play with this program, i'm just falling in love with it! Another huge plus is SU! just slashed their printing prices up to 60% less and this is for GOOD! For example one 12X12 printed page is $2.50. This is very competitive w/ all other printers! I know locally to print a page of that size is about $7+!
If this is something you've been thinking about doing... going digital... (CHRISTMAS is coming up and i do gift certificates!) i would love to help you out and get you rolling! Stay tuned for the rest of the week as i will be showcasing all the layouts i've been working on!
I you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask! The possiblities are endless as you have access to over 2,000 stamps, numerous papers and embellishments...plus you can easily purchase additional addons right online through my digital store!

Beary Best Friends
still plugging away on making my thank yous over here....however i officially wrote the LAST ONE!!!! woo hoo! 76 hand made cards complete and mailed out today! so that is my excuse for being dormant on my blog. Chase is already 3 mos old and that list was just looming over my head and finally i told myself ... "no more 'fun' stamping or blogging till you have the list DONE!" today is the day!
This was one of the latest that i did. Water coloring and buttons tie this one all together. These buttons are fabulous! I just love them. When you have a button that matches perfectly w/ your other coordinating pieces of the card it just looks polished! I tied a bit of linen thread through it and adhered w/ a mini glue dot. My little bears were stamped in Stazon ink on water color paper. The paper allows you to play/blend/shade w/ the ink MUCH better/longer and the stazon bear won't bleed when you get it wet! i always do it fast and a bit sloppy to get the artist look. very easy!

Sincere Salutations
so a while back you may remember that i posted my birthday cards that i received that were hand made. Do you recognize the 2u? ;) It was on my sister Maria's card and i took it apart and reused it here! Fabulous...that's what i call recycling!
I ran my real red polka dot through the big shot with the vintage wallpaper impression folder and then gently sponged the top w/ choc chip ink. just to make it stand out a tiny bit.
Watching a budget and not buying the fancy ribbon for card making? if you have a border punch like i did here w/ my tempting turquoise ... i folded it randomly and made it look like my tufted ribbons! Like?
supplies:
paper: naturals ivory, choc chip, real red dsp, tempting turquoise
ink: choc chip
stamps: sincere salutations
tools: eyelet border punch, wide oval punch, extra large, big shot, vintage wallpaper
accessories: stampin dimensionals, chip board (2u), Chantilly ribbon, brad, sticky strip

Occasional Quotes
using up some more retired lavender lace paper here on a simple but pretty wedding thank you! I'm in love w/ my jumbo wheel 'very vintage' as it can be used so many different ways! i think b4 i told you to 'gather' your ribbon w/ mini glue dots...found a way easier way...just lay down a strip of sticky strip and wa la! done! so much less putzy and i'm all about easy. Don't these antique brads rock? I think they do;)
on the inside of these cards i stamped the sentiment, "thank you for your kindness" this is also a stamp from the occasional quotes hostess set. I don't think it's always necessary to put the theme sentiment on the outside of the card (like i usually do) and i like the wedding saying that flows here instead and on the inside where we express our appreciation...that's where the 'thank you' stamp can be!
also rolled the jumbo wheel across the flap of my envelopes to tie the grouping all together nicely.
another of the antique brads that come in the pack... sort of a rose
large filigree flower brad
ink: crumb cake, concord crush marker (to spritz)
stamps: occasional quoates, very vintage jumbo wheel
tools: color spritzer tool, jumbo wheel handle
accessories: Victoria crochet trim ribbon, antique brads, sponges
