this is my first layout using (some) contraband...aka "non" su! supplies! *gasp*. well they were free and i really wanted to see how that worked out using other product in the mds program! and...it worked swell! so if you haven't been sold over to MDS  digital scrapping yet, here is ANOTHER perk! When you do traditional scrap booking, how often do you get FREE supplies??!! well i never did, maybe i was in the wrong place @ the wrong time, but you can get free kits every once in a while online and there is nothing like new toys to make you wanna get rollin' right?! su! does this too! I've already gotten 3 kits from them for free and they were all available for customers too! fun fun!!!

 I've decided this stamp set can be spun many different ways! here is a bright and fun baby girl card! the purple family is not one i tend to gravitate towards, by here, i love it as my accent color! adding 2 of the pretty bling rhinestones, makes the card sparkle! the beginning of my Christmas layouts...i chose to do one layout as the lead page. my title and embellishments and then do mass pix on the accompanying layouts! super slick to get a bunch of pix together!

inspired by nature

when u hear about someone struggling or having a hard time it nice to quick stamp them a card if you don't have a stash to take from. These two stamps are perfect for 'quick'. The large doily and then inspired by nature's black eyed susans do the trick!

See the background here. i took a picture, made it the 12x12 size and then changed the opacity of it so it's faint. Then add the embellishments on top!

perfect pennant

 guess i shoulda had a lighter background kinda hard to capture the cuteness of this card! if you see the 'ad' on top, that was the initials of the birthday girl in Hannah's class. thought we should personalize it a bit:) I cased this design right outta the big caty in the back somewhere. changed it up a bit of course,but the general layout... not my idea:) ...

hello on this brisk day outside! i've had a busy work week this week painting and hanging decor for others and so i've been in and out... thank goodness for down coats and scarves(and work)! ;)

Today is a big day for our Grandpa Vis. He is in Rochester for open heart surgery today. Even tho others that i've known have gone through this procedure before, i guess i was too young for it to register and for whatever reason i don't remember much of the last time Grandpa went through it?? Along w/ our children we have been praying fervently for God to keep him safe while his heart is being worked on. What an amazing thing... that it can be done. Hard for me to even imagine it.

well on to the card above...simple and CASED right out of the stampin success magazine, we as demos get!

this was the day the hot air balloon landed on our street! it was coming in and we happend to look out the window and the girls ran out the front door after it! They 'helped' the balloon land and even got a business card to prove it! (it was their thank you card and they were super proud of it!)
