Very Thankful

I really like how this card turned out! i followed a scetch pattern and then used this pretty little peacock from the stamp set Very Thankful(which is retiring). Big scallops are the 'in' thing right now and i created them by punching out 1 1/4" circles and then cutting them in half. Then just slip them under the choc chip piece and you have a creative boarder!

tip: adding dazzling diamonds to your project always steps it up a notch. here w/ the 2 way glue pen i just placed some random dots of glue on the peacocks tail and then sprinkle on the dazzling diamonds. Sparkles... who doesn't love that? and one more thing, to keep that choc chip satin ribbon from 'wagging' it's tail, i just snuck a mini glue dot under the tip to keep in nice, striaght and snug!

Lil' gift bundle

so when u stamp like me... over time you get kinda a large build up of hand stamped cards. I enjoy bundling them up pretty and giving them as gifts to people, for them to enjoy and use at their liesure! Here i had a friend help me out in a quick pinch w/ watching my girls. I used the big shot and tag die to make the cute little tag, embellished it a bit and it looks like a cute little set!

Water color trio

Good Afternoon! so i had this assortment of precut cardstock from Teresa's camp card 'vintage vogue' from monday night and since i don't have that gorgeous set, wheel or punch... i had to use something else! this is what i came up with!

i went w/ the shabby look kinda like she did. Spritzed my crushed curry paper w/ alcohol, that i had stamped tone on tone already w/ one of the water color trio stems. Crumpled it up in a ball and then ripped two little random pieces off the sides. then smooth flat and adhere. Sponged the edges of the whisper white piece w/ choc chip. "rock n rolled" my butterfly. First ink it up in crushed curry, then just roll the outside edges around on the choc chip ink pad.(always start w/ the lightest color and you won't stain your second ink pad) then punched out with 3/4" circle punch and popped up on dimensionals. Carried the same theme right on over to the outside of my envelope as well. Makes for a cute ensamble.

Second round of cards~

this was my second design for the camp. Making masculine cards always seems to present a challenge to stampers so i like to try a throw out an idea every once in a while! This comes together super quick w/ the assistance of the big shot and that new impression folder(square lattice which i think screams masculine) out of the summer mini!

Does this card make u happy or what? ;) Bright cheery colors aren't always easy to come up with but i think Jess did a good job of pulling it all together here! using the stamp set Circle circus to make her own dsp in a sense and teeny tiny wishes for the setiment. we notched a 1/2 circle out so we had a snug little place for our button or as u can see below another one of the circles punched out and popped up on a dimensional.

Can you see the SHINE? since i did this one @ home i used some crystal effects to make it stand out a bit more. but since it takes time to dry we would never be able to show case this at a camp. ;(

This crafty masking was done by Teresa and what a fun color combo she put together! once again a bit of shaby chic using the jumbo wheel for some distressing looks and then for quicker assembly instead of hand cutting out those cute little flowers, she just used a 3/4" circle punch! Put a brad through one and pop the other 3 up on dimensionals and you have a gorgeous card!

3 of the cards we made @ ladies Night Out

Teresa designed this soft and pretty sympathy card using the big shot and texture plates along with the sponges to do some distressing.

I would call this classy vintage ... this was Jess's take on a simple yet stunning card and we only had to use ONE ink pad! how awesome is that?

tip: stamp medallion on very vanilla, ink edges and then spritz w/ alcohol and crumple up into a ball! yes CRUMPLE(the tighter you squeeze, the more distressed it will be)!!! Then lay flat and smooth out a bit and lightly rub the sponge inked in soft suede over the top again! using alcohol gives you moisture but dries quickly unlike water...

Awash with flowers

This fun stamp set is a sneak peek from the new caty that will be released in July! It's a 2 step stamping set, that doesn't require the stamp a ma jig and makes you look like a pro! First i stamped the outline in close to cocoa and then just guess at the fill in image. Doesn't matter if it doesn't line up perfectly...in fact i like it better that way! I did a bit of masking here but nothing to fancy just grabbed a scrap of paper laying near me and used that w/o any cutting or trimming!

don't forget to make the inside pretty! lined in pink pirouette since it's a dark writing surface on the close to cocoa.

Trendy Trees

This is my spin off for a masculine birthday card...we can always use inspiration for those right? This stamp set offers the perfect solution! i did a bit of sponging to make some hills and the stamp a ma jig assisted me in lining those little trees up just right.

since the base of the card is choc chip, i lined it w/ barely banana and did a bit of stamping on the inside too!

Water Color Trio

i'm really liking this new stamp set out of the new Summer mini catalog! The words are pretty and all very much used as well as the flower/leaf images i think are so subtle and soft looking as they portray the look of 'water coloring' w/o actually doing it! I gave it a smidge of vintage w/ some torn edges and using my "fast growing favorite tool" the color spritzer tool just around the flower image and the lower left corner of the card.

by inking up the butterfly good w/ melon mambo and then stamping it off twice b4 i stamped it on the circle so you just get a very faint image. Then put the sentiment right over top in old olive. The little dots below the 'so much' i did using the stampin write marker along w/ the matte pack to the get them aligned evenly.

stamping a bit on the inside of the card always gives it a nice finished look as well!

fifth avenue floral Mothers Day

Making my own dsp here again w/ one of the flowers from Fifth Ave floral and some dazzling diamonds gives a bit of sparkle to the card. Water coloring again w/ the aqua painter and using the embossing w/ the heat gun makes it super easy bc it stays in the 'lines' w/o you have to be too careful!

Counting down to Mothers Day i want to give you some inspiration this week! some fun coloring w/ the aqua painters. This comes together quickly and simply and looks shnazzy eh? white embossing on the tango tangerine paper and then using an aqua painter w/ real red gave me this result! then quickly snip out the rose and pop it up on dimensionals!
