awash w/ flowers

i was in the mood to create something springy. this is what i came up with! this stamp set has so many possibilities. Here i inked the petal part of the stamp in blushing bride then used my sponge daubers w/ melon mambo and just pounce around the outside edges. gives a great two tone!
i used the handy tool... the color wheel to come up w/ this color combo!

paper: pear pizzaz, very vanilla, rich razzleberry, melon mambo
ink: melon mambo, rich razz, pear pizzaz
stamps: oval all, awash w/ flowers, teahouse background stamp

Water color trio

Goodmorning! i have another mass produce pile here to share w/ you. I left the sentiment off of all of these to leave them more general. I thought it was a nice sympathy card but it could be used many different ways. This flower is from the set water color trio in a mini a while ago. it's not in the big caty right now, but i wonder if it will make it into the big new one in July!?
so i had a crazy afternoon yesterday. i made a big supper for 7 young ladies all under 9 and Chase and I. K so i thought i would grill...pork chops...which i suck at....make twice baked potatoes and corn bread casserole....not sure what i was thinking. They would rather have mac n cheese, but i was in the mood....well that is until i started making it all. I got all the filthy kids rounded up(they were throwing mud balls in the creek), bathed them to their knees on the drive way in buckets, made them sit @ the table and began to dish out potatoes(wait they weren't quite done yet...put back in oven) i did corn...then proceded to begin cutting meat for 7 very HUNGRY girls.... got that done...crap meat is not done...back on the grill it goes. ok potatoes should be good now...not.... a bit on the crunchy side...but girls don't care so i won't say anything! they clear that part of their plates and begin asking for the meat...oh yes.... the MEAT!!! run back outside...phew...it's all good. a bit black on the edges but edible. rather tasty i must say!

the whole while i was frantically trying to feed these children, Chase was sceam/crying at the top of his lungs. he got shots today and was NOT a happy camper. i could feel a temp starting and his little leg was red and i assume sore. do you feel the sense of chaos i did??? ;) we gotter done, my children all went to bed fabulously and now i can sit w/ my feet up and it feels great!

Have a great day!

Teacher appreciation

That time of year is here, where we take a little something xtra to thank our children's teachers for all their hard work! and yes...it's HARD! i could never do what they do!:) Well if you browse online, many other paper crafters have done something of this sort for their children as well  (this is my favorite!)  thanks Amy!...and this is my take on it! I went to McDonald's and asked for two 'empty' cups....was waiting for a "huh??" from them, but they didn't;) Then i took them home, and filled them w/ crunched paper and a gift certificate inside! Close it up w/ the lid and then made it pretty!

I don't have any 'latte' stamps so i printed that off from my computer and punched it out w/ my circle punch. Then mounted on top of one of the two tags bigz die folded in half.

tip: to keep my ribbon from sliding around on the cup i used two strips of sticky strip. one in front and one to the side of the bow to hold in place.
Make one today for your children's teachers! make them feel special! ;)

$10 grab bag CHALLENGE!!!

here is some retired sage shadow precut cardstock that was in my grab bag that i bought off SU! clearance rack. At first i thought "yipee, some cardstock!"... but then thought, "hey i will challenge myself to make some cute cards using ONLY what came in the package!" guess what? all i added was the ink and the sentiment/stamp. so this cardstock you see here was all precut and ready to go along w/ the ribbon, embellishments such as felt flowers, chip board elements, brads and buttons. i REALLY liked that. no thinking involved. I took the choc chip piece to my scallop trim border punch to jazz it up a bit and then added the strip of ribbon adhered w/ 2 staples, a chip board flower(colored chocolate chip w/ my brayer) and then put two felt flowers on top w/ a choc chip brad. ALL these goodies were in my grab bag!

now you have to remember that all the grab bags were different from each other, so if you bought one or are thinking about doing it, you may not have the same items i had but similar;)

Stay tuned for more cute cards i made out of this SAME grab  bag!

supplies:
paper: $10 grab bag
ink: choc chip
stamps: a word for you
tools: scallop trim border punch, stapler
