Fifth Avenue Floral

Well guys, today is the last day that this set is available for 20% off! Here i used one of the flowers to make my own dsp and bling it up a bit by adding dazzling diamonds to the centers of the flowers w/ my 2 way glue pen. i just love the satin ribbon that was introduced in the Occassions Mini as well. it's so soft and makes the card so classy i think. The colors i used here are also two colors that we will have to say goodbye to soon. Close to cocoa and Bordering Blue.;(

supplies:
paper: close to cocoa reg & texutred, very vanilla
ink: bordering blue
stamps: well scripted(clear mount), fifth avenue floral
tools: circle punch
accessories: blue button(with a sliver of close to cocoa paper tied through it), very vanilla satin ribbon, 2 way glue pen, dazzling diamonds, stampin dimensionals

Twins!

so the challenge of making a card fit for a boy AND a girl?! Did i get the colors ok? It was my best shot, not too boyish and not too girlish i thought...good balance. I just love making your 'own' polka dots by punching out a few 1/2" circles. notice the old olive is textured paper and bermuda bay is not....gives a smidge of dimension.
Tie is all together by stamping the inside of your card and the outside of your envelope as well! Since the card is choc chip, i added a piece of whisper white on the inside so i've got a clean slate to write on~
supplies:
paper: choc chip, old olive, bermuda bay, whisper white
ink: choc chip, bermuda bay
stamps: animal stories, bundle of joy
tools: horizontal slot punch(for ribbon hole), scallop trim border punch, 1/2" circle punch
accessories: bermuda bay polka dot ribbon, stampin dimensionals

this am the fly on my wall.....

was thinking...is this woman sane???? So this morning i wake up(garage sale set up day) and i should really get into the mode of pricing, cleaning my garage, and sorting. however, pregnancy and it's cravings got the best of me and by that i mean like never b4!!! so like i said when i woke up.... i had some ruhbarb and wanted to make some cream cheese filled muffins. So i begin concocting and came up with Cranberry Ruhbarb Cream Cheese filled muffins w/ some heavenly strudle topping! ha! hows that for a beginner! So get thos in the oven and i also see a delish recipe for bran muffins, well what the heck, whip those up to.

Now when i used all the batter up of my filled muffins i still have a generous amount of cream cheese filling and strudle topping left....heaven forbid that gets thrown away so then i move on to cream cheese filled brownies!

Now my back is sore, better search out the Exedrin, and start my garage sale duties that should have been started hrs ago!!!

so as the fly flies around in my kitchen which smells lovely by the way.... i now can hunt for the fly swatter....

Canberry Ruhbarb Cream Cheese filled Muffins
filling:

cream cheese
1 egg
1tsp vanilla
3T brown sugar

beat till smooth

strudel topping:
1/2 T flour
5T white surgar
3/4 tsp cinnamon
3T butter

Muffins:
2C flour
3 tsp baking powder
3/4C sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 C ruhbarb
1/2 C cranberries
2 eggs
1/2 C butter (melted)
1 C milk
1/4 C sugar
1/4 tsp cinnamon

Combine flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. Add Canberries and Ruhbarb and mix until well coated. Mix together eggs, melted butter and milk. stir this into the dyr ingredients. do not over beat. Pour into greased muffin tins. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Bake @ 400 for 15-20 minutes.
